INTRODUCTION
Zambia Health Education and Communication Trust (ZHECT) is an indigenous Zambian Non-
Governmental Organization (NGO), registered with the Registrar of Societies in 2001 under the laws of
Zambia. ZHECT is committed to delivering high quality health services, social behaviour change
interventions, research, and capacity building initiatives aimed at improving the health and well being of
communities across Zambia.
With extensive experience in capacity building, ZHECT specializes in providing Sexual and
Reproductive Health (SRH) and HIV prevention and mitigation services to organizations and
communities, primarily within Zambia. The organization also works in areas such as Gender Based
Violence (GBV), Cervical Cancer Screening and Linkage Creation, Economic Empowerment etc, with a
focus on vulnerable and hard to reach populations.
In response to a ‘Request for Proposals (RFP)’, ZHECT is establishing a pool of qualified, dedicated,
and passionate professionals in specialized fields. Shortlisted candidates will be selected to support the
strengthening of HIV and health systems in Central and Copperbelt Provinces, providing clinical care,
targeted technical assistance, and health system support to improve health outcomes.
AVAILABLE POSITIONS, QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
4. Laboratory Scientists
Diploma in Biomedical Sciences with 5 years’ relevant working experience.
Bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences with 3 years’ relevant working experience
Minimum 3 years’ working experience in molecular testing laboratory
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Clinical Team Lead will oversee the implementation of clinical service delivery,
provide technical guidance and support to the team
The Technical Advisors will provide targeted technical assistance and capacity building
to health facilities and stakeholders
The Health Systems Strengthening Specialist will lead the health systems
strengthening component, working closely with the project team to ensure effective
implementation
