Job Purpose
The Property Consultant is responsible for marketing, selling and advising clients on residential, commercial properties. The role involves guiding clients through property transactions while ensuring compliance with Zambian real estate laws and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Market and sell residential, commercial, and industrial properties
- Source new properties and clients through networking, site visits, and referrals
- Conduct property inspections and client viewings
- Advise clients on property values, market trends, and investment opportunities
- Negotiate sale and lease agreements on behalf of clients and the company
- Prepare and maintain accurate property listings and client records
- Coordinate with valuers, lawyers, surveyors, and local authorities where required
- Ensure compliance with Zambian property laws, council regulations, and company procedures
- Assist clients with documentation, including offer letters, contracts, and handover processes
- Follow up on leads and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business
- Meet sales targets set by management
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in real estate sales or property consultancy (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license (advantage)
Skills & Competencies
- Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills
- Good knowledge of the Zambian real estate market and land tenure systems
- Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet targets
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, email, property listing platforms)
- High level of integrity and professionalism
Working Conditions
- Office-based with frequent fieldwork and site visits
- May require weekend or after-hours work for client viewings
