Background
Mifflin Trading Limited invites applications from qualified and experienced Quality Control (QC) Operators to support a high-volume records digitisation project. The role involves quality assurance of scanned documents, OCR validation, metadata verification, and compliance with defined digitisation and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control checks on scanned documents to ensure clarity, completeness, correct orientation, and page sequencing
- Validate OCR accuracy and readability in line with established quality thresholds
- Verify metadata accuracy against defined indexing and classification rules
- Identify, document, and escalate scanning or indexing errors in accordance with QC procedures
- Apply image enhancement techniques where required
- Participate in batch sampling, exception handling, and re-validation activities
- Maintain accurate QC logs, reports, and audit trails
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years’ relevant experience in document scanning, digitisation, or quality control operations
- Demonstrated ability to apply rigorous quality control processes
- Practical experience with OCR technologies and image enhancement software
- Ability to work accurately in high-volume, deadline-driven environments
Added Advantage
- Experience on large-scale digitisation or document management projects
- Exposure to records management, archives, or structured documentation environments
- Familiarity with Electronic or Digital Records Management Systems (EDMS / DRMS)
