A reputable Insurance Broking company is looking a dynamic Business Development & Sales Marketing Manager to lead revenue growth, client acquisition, and brand development. This role combines strategic business development with sales and marketing leadership to expand our corporate and retail client base, deepen partnerships, and drive measurable Return on Investment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and implement a commercial growth strategy and annual business plan to meet revenue, profitability and market-share targets.
· Lead sales and marketing efforts to generate qualified leads, convert opportunities, and grow cross-sell/up-sell revenue across corporate and SME segments.
· Identify and research new markets, product opportunities, strategic partnerships and referral channels.
· Build, manage and expand strategic alliances with insurers, brokers, corporate clients, affinity partners and industry associations.
· Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns (digital, events, content, PR) to build brand awareness and drive lead generation.
· Oversee the full sales cycle: prospecting, needs assessment, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure.
· Manage key client relationships and lead retention initiatives, ensuring high service standards and renewal rates.
· Create and track sales pipeline, forecasts and KPIs; report performance and ROI to senior management.
· Lead contract/terms negotiations with clients and partners in conjunction with underwriting and legal teams.
· Develop sales processes, pricing guidelines and controls to protect company and client interests and minimize financial risk.
· Mentor, coach and manage the business development and marketing team; cascade strategy and targets and drive performance.
· Monitor competitor activity, market trends and regulatory developments to inform strategy and product positioning.

· QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· Bachelor’s degree in Insurance & Pensions Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or related field. MBA or professional marketing/insurance qualification is an advantage.
· Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in business development, sales or marketing within insurance broking, insurance carriers or financial services — with at least 2 years in a managerial or team-lead role.
· Demonstrable track record of meeting/exceeding targets and managing complex deals.
