Job Title: Regional Manager – Northwestern
The key responsibility for this role involves supporting the attainment of MTNZ market leadership and revenue growth objectives, by driving the sales of MTNZ’s enterprise solutions within assigned region(s).To manage end-to-end delivery of client requirements (from prospecting to order fulfillment) in adherence with predefined sales methodology and acceptable processes.
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager: Direct Sales, below are the Key Job Responsibilities:
Core Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain productive business relations/ partnerships with clients to enhance EBU – LE and SME services and sales for MTNZ;
- Assist in building an in-depth knowledge of the client’s operating environment, business drivers, objectives, strengths and challenges to be able to develop and implement solutions to meet their strategic needs;
- Assist clients in understanding the value proposition and differentiations of the LE Mobile voice & data products and ICT services ;
- Handle all customer requests for service successfully including fault reports and billing queries ;
- Increase MTNZ market share by achieving set target through the acquisition of new accounts as well as development and maintenance of acquired accounts ;
- Monitor the completion of the end-to-end sales process – from client prospecting to bill delivery ;
- Prepare and present all sales and contractual documentation to the customer and ensure compliance with MTNZ standards ;
- Ensure full integration of quality management processes within all sales activities, ensuring effective deployment on a day-to-day basis ;
- Conduct research on potential customers and potential spend profile using the data mining system and analyze industries to identify new prospects or opportunities ;
- Prepares annual plan and budget to implement Regional Area strategy in line with the MTN strategic and EBU regional objectives in close consultation with the Snr Manager Direct Sales;
- Translates annual Regional Area plan into sales plans incorporating sales targets and budgets for each Direct/Indirect Sales force ;
- Track and provide sales performance data to support management decision – making and provide professional advice and input to develop sales plans ;
- Prepare weekly and monthly regional sales status reports;
- Provides support to Direct and Indirect Channels to ensure the achievement of set sales targets, including ensuring appropriate branding of the EBU -Counters in Service Centres, supply of adequate stocks, building of capacity, training on any new products and services and resolution of conflict within the channels;
- Reviews sales-related training needs for Sales team (Direct & Indirect), Channel Partners, S&D and executes such training to enhance capacity;
- Monitors Channel performance through sales reports and takes action to ensure targets are met. Manages the performance of Indirect & Direct channels in accordance with MTN policy and procedures;
- Supports the Direct and Direct Sales Force in the identification of new sales opportunities in the Regional Area and focuses the sales effort to capitalize on such opportunities, ensuring that such sales growth is profitable;
- Ensures focus on non-traditional markets and strategic channels to increase penetration and availability;
- Devises acquisition campaigns for the regional Area, with input from Direct & Direct Sales forces, provides support for and monitors their execution;
- Manages the Direct & Indirect team towards goals set, ensuring that the teams have the required information, resources, training and supervision to achieve such targets;
- Ensures that Direct & Direct Sales Force adequately understand any new products and services rolled out by EBU;
- Reports on key accounts in the Area on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and half-yearly basis, ensuring reports are accurate and on time;
- Provides market and customer information and intelligence to the Product Enablement team to aid in marketing planning, and assists with the implementation of research, campaigns and other marketing activities;
- Coordinates efforts and fosters communication with all Indirect Channels partners i.e. S&D, service centres, Channel, Contact Centre (Telesales) partners to ensure a concerted and integrated sales effort;
- Liaises with Networks for the resolution of any network problems in the Area;
- Liaises with EBU marketing to ensure an optimum level of brand visibility within the Region;
- Effectively manages the development of direct reports, effectively linking performance management, learning & development, talent management and the MTNZ Employee Value Proposition to achieve optimum performance.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Commerce or any other related discipline
- Grade 12 certificate with 5 credit or better of which English and Mathematics are a must
- Experience in medium to large subsidiary of multinational/telecom company.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of Professional experience in a commercial or enterprise sales environment.
- Direct exposure to the telecommunications industry, preferably in customer-facing roles (enterprise account management, solution sales, or business development).
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, negotiate, and close deals with enterprise clients.
- Hands-on involvement in strategic planning and execution, contributing to regional or organizational growth objectives.
- Experience in managing client relationships end-to-end, from needs assessment to solution delivery and post-sales support.
