JOB TITLE: STORES MAN
POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Stores Man, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our operations run efficiently by managing the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, and supplies. You will work closely with various departments to fulfill their inventory needs, maintain accurate records, and contribute to our overall success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming materials and supplies, inspect for damage or discrepancies, and ensure accurate documentation.
Inventory Management: Maintain organized and efficient inventory storage systems, including regular stock checks, stock rotation, and reordering as necessary.
Distribution: Prepare and distribute materials to various departments or job sites as per requisitions, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns, using appropriate software or documentation methods.
Quality Control: Assist in quality control by ensuring materials meet established standards and report any discrepancies or issues.
Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations while handling and storing materials. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Vendor Relations: Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely deliveries, returns, or exchanges when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role preferred.
· Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with various departments.
· Ability to use inventory management software or systems.
· Basic knowledge of safety protocols and material handling.
· Physical fitness for lifting and moving heavy items.
