Job Responsibilities
Account Management & Operations
- Take full ownership of registering, setting up, and managing the company’s e-commerce social media accounts (Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc.).
- Plan and implement weekly/monthly social media content calendars to maintain consistent brand presence and activity.
- Track and analyze key performance metrics (follower growth, engagement, traffic, conversion rates, etc.) and provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Content Creation & Production
- Independently manage end-to-end content creation—from concept development and scripting to filming and post-production editing.
- Produce compelling, high-quality content, including short videos, product images, lifestyle shots, and story-driven posts that highlight product benefits and brand narratives.
- Ensure all visual content aligns with platform-specific styles, formats, and emerging trends (especially TikTok and Reels).
Community Engagement & Growth
- Engage actively with the audience by promptly responding to comments, direct messages, and fostering a positive community around the brand.
- Increase reach and interaction through hashtag challenges, tags, interactive Q&As, online events, and other engagement-driven strategies.
- Stay updated on local and global social media trends to create timely and viral-worthy content.
Collaboration & Learning
- Collaborate closely with sales and product teams to translate product details and marketing campaigns into engaging content.
- Rapidly familiarize yourself with the company’s business, product knowledge, and local market culture to ensure relevant and localized content.
Qualifications
Experience
- Experience managing brand social media accounts or a successful personal account (e.g., TikTok, Instagram, YouTube).
- Please provide a portfolio or links to relevant accounts with your application.
- Previous experience in e-commerce, fashion, lifestyle, or FMCG content creation is a plus.
Skills
- Photography & Videography: Proficient in shooting and editing photos and short videos using mobile phones or cameras, with hands-on experience in tools like CapCut, InShot, Premiere Rush, or Final Cut Pro.
- Aesthetics & Creativity: Strong visual sense and the ability to independently execute creative ideas from concept to final output.
- Language: Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to craft engaging social media copy. Knowledge of local languages (e.g., Nyanja, Bemba) is a strong advantage.
- Fundamental Skills: Familiar with the backend operations, algorithm mechanics, and advertising systems of major social media platforms.
