Background
Zambia YMCA is a youth-focused Christian organization committed to empowering young people through innovative programs in Mental Health, Education, Sustainable Planet, and Youth Justice. As part of our digital engagement and youth empowerment strategy, YMCA is strengthening its Podcast and Online TV Studio to amplify youth voices, promote advocacy, and disseminate impactful content.
Zambia YMCA invites applications from creative, skilled, and mission-driven individuals to fill the position of Podcast and Online TV Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the YMCA Podcast and Online TV Studio
- Plan, produce, edit, and publish podcasts and video content
- Develop content calendars aligned to YMCA thematic areas
- Coordinate live and recorded shows, interviews, and documentaries
- Train and mentor young people in podcasting, broadcasting, and digital storytelling
- Manage studio equipment and ensure proper maintenance
- Oversee content quality, branding, and compliance with YMCA values
- Manage social media and online platforms for content distribution
- Monitor performance metrics and prepare periodic reports
- Ensure safeguarding and ethical standards in all productions
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Media Studies, Journalism, Film & Television Production, Digital Media, Communication, or a related field
- Proven experience in podcast production, video production, or online TV management
- Strong skills in audio and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Audition, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent)
- Knowledge of live streaming platforms (YouTube, Facebook Live, Zoom, etc.)
- Basic understanding of camera operation, sound, and lighting
- Experience working with youth-led or community-based media is an added advantage
