Position Overview
The Business Development Manager is a key client-facing role dedicated to advancing Klapton Re’s client engagement, marketing development, and operational alignment with strategic priorities. Acting as an essential bridge between internal capabilities and external relationships, the role is responsible for managing client accounts, driving marketing initiatives, and ensuring service excellence across key corporate functions.
The individual will serve as a critical extension of the Deputy CEO’s office until the appointment of a Head of Market Development.
This role is suited for a dynamic and commercially astute professional with strong intrapersonal capabilities, structured project management skills, and a commitment to service quality, client relationship management, and brand development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Relationship Management and Development
- Act as a primary liaison for key clients and brokers, cultivating trusted, long-term relationships.
- Proactively identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
- Track client account performance, manage feedback loops, and resolve issues.
- Support execution of onboarding and service frameworks.
2. Marketing & Communications
- Develop and implement strategic marketing initiatives across global markets.
- Create and manage content for digital platforms and corporate collateral.
- Coordinate with designers, agencies, and internal teams to ensure consistent branding.
3. Business Development Support
- Prepare tailored client decks, marketing presentations, and pre-engagement material.
- Profile target clients and identify new business opportunities.
- Support the go-to-market strategy and provide market intelligence.
4. Strategic Support to Deputy CEO
- Prepare strategic reports, investor decks, and board materials.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and project tracking.
- Monitor key marketing initiatives and provide improvement recommendations.
5. Operational Excellence & Internal Liaison
- Serve as a communication conduit between client-facing and internal teams.
- Lead internal briefing sessions before client meetings.
- Maintain accurate documentation and CRM records.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in client-facing roles within financial services.
- Demonstrated success in marketing execution or strategic development.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Additional language skills (French, Arabic, Portuguese) are an asset.
