DISPATCHER - TRANSPORT DIVISION – NDOLA Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
- Journey management, planning – i.e. Fuel allocation & control, mileage and any other cost to ensure uninterrupted movement of trucks
- Daily control of all PODs to ensure timeous collection and uploading for invoicing.
- Responsible for requesting & capturing all additional costs for drivers in liaison with the operations manager or fellow dispatcher.
- Responsible to ensure that all costs incurred by trucks in route responsible are captured in liaison with finance department & operations manager & fellow dispatcher.
- Ensure that all cost outside trip sheets have vouchers properly authorized and captured in time in liaison with finance.
- Perform any other duties as delegated by the supervisor
The job is particularly suitable for candidates who meet the following minimum requirements and possess the following attributes.
· Good oral and written communication skills
· Problem solver, attention to detail, skilled at admin, process orientated
- Grade 12 Certificate, Diploma/Degree in Logistics & Transport
- Previous 3-5 years’ experience from reputable transporter as a dispatcher with more than 150 trucks running Congo, Tanzania, Beira and South Africa.
- A member of Zambia Institute of Transport & Logistics
- Ability to communicate well, Team player, customer centric and should have a clean criminal record.
- Ability to adhere to instructions, planning and cost management
- Sober mind, self-starter physically fit and honest.
SAFETY OFFICER - TRANSPORT DIVISION – NDOLA Reporting to Human Resource, Operations Manager & Workshop Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for the following:
· Risk Assessment & Management:
Conduct routine risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the workplace, such as in warehouses, loading areas, and during transportation, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
· Safety Inspections:
Perform regular site inspections to ensure safety procedures are followed, equipment is in good condition, and potential hazards are addressed promptly.
· Policy & Procedure Development:
Develop and implement safety policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to create a safe and compliant work environment in relation to statutory requirements.
· Training & Education:
Provide comprehensive safety training to all employees on topics like equipment operation, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, employee induction and emergency response procedures.
· Incident Investigation & Reporting:
Investigate accidents, near-misses, and other safety incidents to determine their root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
· Regulatory Compliance:
Monitor and ensure the company adheres to all relevant health and safety laws and regulations, and conduct compliance audits to verify adherence.
· Emergency Preparedness:
Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans and ensure staff are well-trained on these protocols to effectively respond to emergencies like spills or accidents.
· Promoting a Safety Culture:
Actively promote a culture of safety accountability and awareness among all employees and stakeholders, encouraging active participation in safety initiatives.
· Equipment & Procurement:
Ensure that safety features are considered during the design, purchase, and procurement of new equipment, tools, and materials used in logistics operations.

- Previous 3 years’ experience from reputable transporter as a safety officer with more than 200 trucks running Congo, Tanzania, Beira and South Africa.
- Ability to communicate well, Team player, customer centric and should have a clean criminal record.
- Ability to adhere to instructions, planning and forensic analysis skills on incidents
- Sober mind, self-starter physically fit and honest.
